Position Summary

As we continue our expansion, we are seeking an accomplished and visionary academic leader to join us as Deputy Director of Academics. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver our academic programs, working closely with the Director of Academics and esteemed faculty members to ensure the Institute maintains its reputation for academic excellence. The ideal candidate thrives in an intellectually rigorous environment, is highly organised, passionate about education, and capable of working collaboratively to elevate the Institute’s academic offerings.

The Deputy Director of Academics will support the design, coordination, and implementation of the Institute’s educational initiatives. This includes overseeing curriculum development, managing faculty and guest lecturers, ensuring academic quality, and developing new programs. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator with strong leadership skills, a deep passion for intellectual engagement, and the ability to foster an enriching learning environment for students.

n addition to working with faculty and students, the Deputy Director of Academics will collaborate closely with the Chairman of the Board of Fellows to drive innovation, enhance intellectual enrichment, and ensure that the Institute’s academic vision remains at the forefront of educational excellence.

This role provides the opportunity to collaborate with top scholars, contribute to innovative educational programs, and influence the academic trajectory of some of the brightest students worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership

Partner very closely with the Chairman of the Board of Fellows on all things visionary when it comes to academics, innovation, and intellectual enrichment, ensuring that the Institute remains at the forefront of rigorous and forward-thinking education

  • Faculty & Speaker Management

Coordinate with faculty, guest lecturers, and tutors to enhance the quality of instruction and discussion.

  • Academic Quality Assurance

Ensure that all programmes meet the Institute’s high academic standards.

  • New Programme Development

Collaborate with leadership to develop and launch new academic offerings that align with the Institute’s mission.

  • Alumni Engagement

Support the ongoing relationship between the Institute and its alumni, ensuring continued intellectual growth and community involvement.

  • Curriculum Development

Assist in designing and refining academic programmes to ensure they remain intellectually rigorous and engaging.

  • Programme Oversight

Oversee the execution of summer schools, essay competitions, and other academic initiatives.

  • Student Engagement

Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity and encourage students to think critically and independently.

  • Mentorship & Advising

Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, helping them maximise their potential.

  • Event Support

Ensuring VIPs, speakers, and students are well taken care of when an event is on.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field, such as philosophy, politics, economics, history, or related disciplines.

  • Experience in curriculum development and academic programme management.

  • Strong background in teaching, tutoring, or academic mentorship.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and external partners.

  • Familiarity with competitive academic programmes and higher education admissions is a plus.
